G2A admitted it has already sold stolen keys on its website

This is not a big news for anyone, yet seeing the G2A gaming platform admitting the marketing of stolen keys after a series of years denying all charges is seriously interesting. Especially when the whole situation comes to our hands through a plan that originally was supposed to prove the innocence of the company … But it turned out to be the opposite, while it also ended up costing about 40 thousand dollars.

G2A admitted it has already sold stolen keys on its website

So, in case you didn't know, last year we had a curious attempt by G2A to try to explain where the keys for such cheap games came from. In fact, it is likely that he still remembers the campaign in which the company promised to pay 10X the price of each key if the developers were able to prove the illegal origins of their products.

Well, although most developers and studios ignored the offer, we had someone who accepted the challenge! The Factorio creators of Wube Software!

So, after almost a year, G2A had to admit that the keys were indeed stolen, about 198 keys to be more precise. All admitted in a publication on your blog with the title “Keeping our promise”. It was here that the company claims to have carried out an internal investigation (which in fact should be independent but ok), finding the culprits, while promising to pay $ 39,600 for the stolen keys.

However, it seems that the company's strategy for the future will be exactly the same, with no mention of a re-opening of this campaign. Of course, there is no apology in the publication either.

In short, if you already suspected that these stores were stealing keys, you now have gigantic proof of that.
