It seems that Microsoft doesn't even know what the Microsoft Surface Duo is, because any internal rumor describing the Surface Duo doesn't call you by phone – despite the fact that it can make calls and send texts.
We are now at a point where the best camera phones tend to offer better results than the “proper camera”. These pocket-sized powers give us the power to capture fantastic images and videos in almost any recording situation and don't require us to touch lenses or settings.
Also at the technical level, the best camera phones have more pixels than all, except for the most expensive medium-format cameras, and have 8K video capabilities that traditional cameras have yet to reach. Just look at the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, which features a 108MP image sensor, 8K video and 100x digital zoom.
This next product was announced in October 2019, but recently leaked specs are beginning to reveal what this phone-non-phone can do.
The Microsoft Surface Duo will be running an Android system instead of the expected Windows 10. This is an unusual move by the company that has proved controversial with some Microsoft fans.
The Surface Duo's design is similar to that of a foldable phone, but instead of being made of a flexible screen, this product has two screens that fold together on a hinge.
The Microsoft Surface Duo will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, but unfortunately it will not be able to support 5G.
According to the Windows Central technology website, this is apparently due to a problem with the Snapdragon 855 processor that would require an internal overhaul. The Surface Duo should have 6 GB of RAM and between 64 and 256 GB of internal storage.
The dual screens on the Microsoft Surface Duo are 5.6 ”screens with 1800 × 1350 resolution with 401 pixels per inch. The screens are connected by a 360-degree hinge, instead of other foldable phones, like the Samsung Galaxy Fold, made from a single screen.
Unfortunately, any fan of photography with a camera phone may be disappointed with the Microsoft Surface Duo camera offering, as there is only an 11MP front camera on one screen (although it can be rolled up on the back to be used as a camera too) rear).
